Our environment is degrading day by day and our religious festivals also contribute to this. This is a very serious issue that we should look upon. We unknowingly practice such performs and thus contributes huge towards environmental destruction.
Celebrating different festivals are adding up to the different types of pollutions such as

Every year we celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi, Saraswati puja, Durga puja and there we offer flowers to God, which are latter thrown into the water bodies, Ganesh visarjan and also other idol visarjan ;which are specially made up of POP which takes so much of time to degrade ,are carried out in water bodies . Thus polluting the water bodies.

It is now became a style to celebrate anything with lots of loud music and sound. During Ganesh visarjan, Christmas and New year eve and also in other festivals of other religions we play loud music on speakers without caring about others. Which definitely adds up to NOISE POLLUTION.

We all need clean and clear air to breath. But no one actually cares to keep it clean . On the name of religion and festivals we light so much of fire crackers and other fireworks specially on New year and Diwali. With this we are creating lots of unwanted gases in the atmosphere which are harmful to our health . Use of firecrackers is also the major source of dry waste all over the world.
Not only pollution, many other destruction are also caused by our religious activities to the environment such as ; we kill certain animals in the name of God which can endanger that animal species, also on Vatpornima some women's cut twigs of the Banyan tree and worship it. Thus causing destruction to the tree.
In the upper half we have talked about the bitter side of religions towards nature but there is also a good side of religion towards it such as ; In Hindus they worship ๐พ๐ค๐ฌ and we all know the importance of cow in our life and also in the environment.
All the religions cares for the environment but we the people have changed or taken our traditions in a different direction. We should celebrate our festivals and other traditions in the correct way as they were celebrated earlier.
Yes, it's definitely true that we should enjoy our festivals but at the same time we should think about the environment. Finally that is the only place where we are living and will continue to. So we should first think about our environment and surrounding, and then should work accordingly.
